The bottom of my tunnel has several spots where i burned through when wet sanding with 1500 paper after a season it is starting to soak in the wood .The bottom of hull is finished with 3 coats of Pacer finishing resin followed by 2 coats of Pactras formula u poly urethane out of a spray bomb i would like to refinish with a 2 part automotive clear urethane that goes by the name of Bernardo Ecanaro i need to know whats the most efficient way of preping the surface do i wet block sand with #320 or may be scuff with a grey or red Scotch brite pad any info would be great.

What is "its"? if it's anythining wet you need to sand it down to wood and let it or somehow get it dry before you can do anything. Once its dry you can put a coat of 30 min epoxy or west systems etc. then sand smooth, prime and paint as you like. Main thing is get wood dry and sealed.
