Record Trials in Texas

Hi guys, I'm trying to find out how much interest there would be in attending record trials in the San Antonio/New Braunfels area. Before I spend the time and $$ getting a pond surveyed I would like to get a general idea of how many guys are interested in participating. SAW or oval (1/3 or 1/4 mile course)?

I know that I for one would attend. I am from Dallas. Would that be at the same pond around the New Braunsfels area that you sent a picture of a while back? That looked like a nice place to run. I am sure some of the other guys around the Dallas/Ft.Worth area would be interested. I bet that Ernie La Fleur (sp?) from the Houston area would attend. A SAW/Records trials in Texas for once....that would be fun!

David, yes it would be at the pond in the pictures I talked about last time...at least for SAW stuff. I have been working with Universal City to get a pond that would be better for oval time trials.

Holding a record is not important to me, but what that clock teaches you is important. I learned more about driving a hydro in 3 record trials than I had learned in the entire time I have driven hydros. for me it just about to the point that I have more fun racing the clock than I do heat racing.

Hi Glenn. I don't have an interest in setting any records myself, but would be more than willing to support/help in any way I can. I'm about two hours North of Universal City/Selma.

Jim Neisen (sp?) in Round Rock would probably be able to get some 'gas burners' on board.
