Terry,

I just started testing this weekend and so far

it looks like we maybe STROLLING THROUGH THE TRAPS :D

in early October. I already took the time off work so I

can come down and help more this Fall.

Thanks For All That You Guys Do,

Mark Sholund

Will be good to see ya again Mark, won't be long now! :)

OK, who's going to Flint this weekend? I'm tossing around the thought of coming over just to watch again but was hoping to run a boat but it needs a lot of tweaking done yet that I haven't had the time for but it has been wet.

Any surprise guests this time?

It would be good to see Mark again, maybe we can talk props. It looks like Wally is coming in from New Hampshire to make another attack at the record books.

If I do show up I've got a new boating buddy here in town that I could drag along, this guy is as geeked as I am about boats!

Dress warm as we've gone from sweating to freezing in a matter of days.

Looks like it should be nice and cool to make lot's of HP! Highs in the 50's! :)

Word has it there's gonna be some "amp heads" coming up from Indy and maybe Toronto, also Gary & Dave Preusse, Wally, RJ & Olly.

Bring a boat to play with, you'll get all the help & advise you can handle!

Terry & Mike,

It looks like a 21 Hydro oval testing weekend.

I am getting some new propellers ready to try out this weekend.

I will have plenty of: Carbs,Pipes, and Propellers to test out if anyone

wants to try some different set ups. Bring your boats and have some fun in

Flint, MI this weekend.

How does the weather look? 50's?

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Sitting in my car at Thread Lake, winds outta the N-NE (bad direction) and still light rain, should be better later today and better yet tomorrow.

No hurry if you're coming. ;)

Wanted to come and watch but looks like a washout...

good luck,,

Terry, were you able to do any running today?

Don :)

More to follow but unfortunately we had our first BLOWOUT in about 8 years. With a tropical storm parked off the east coast and a big high to our west the wind blew hard from the N - NE all weekend. :(

The #$@*)* wind was still blowin' when I dropped the retrieve boat off at Mike Nowicki's at noon. Thanks to everyone who attended and fellow FAST members Mike Nowicki and Mikey Ross, without them this just wouldn't happen.

"Amp Heads" Chris Krawczyk and Ken Joye were able to nurse their way around the course for the P Mono and S Sport Hydro records at 30.090 and 45.962 sec. respectively. Congratulations guys.

Many others had some very fast boats ready to go but to no avail. We definately had the air at 100%+ each morning but the water was abnormally bad both days with an odd wind from the NE-E. The crisp air was great, but with the wind & rain it chilled to the bone.

Got some pix up:

Hope to see you next year, first weekend of May & October.

I stayed home as I knew what the weather was going to be like. OK, that and the old lady was whining about me driving over there and sitting outside freezing my butt off so I worked. :(

If hte wind was coming in out of the west it wouldn't have been so bad as the rise behind would have blocked a lot of it coming across the lake but yeah, coming in from the NNE left it open. Those apartments don't block much.

Let's hope for better weather in the spring as my boat is almost ready to take a shot for a record, it just needs some final tuning done. It's always fun just to go over to Flint and hang out with all of you.

Thanks Terry for the great pics. Looks like Frank Orlic has built a "turn around" nova for his new .20 hydro??? Or is that a CMB in there. lol Richard D
Ya, I'm not sure, maybe he'll end our dilemma?
I got a real close look at Franks converted Nova. Real slick for sure. However, Frank made it VERY clear that the conversion would not be for sale. You can try him directly though. Lol

It looks very promissing on the water as well , tons of power , to bad he didn't get a chance to run it on the weekend.

Richard,

We have a Nova Rossi 28 with front exhaust and it is AMAZING.

We have found more power and RPM with this set up on the Novas.

I sure wish they would offer a version of their 21 motors with

a front exhaust. :D

Thanks,

Mark Sholund
