Less than 2 weeks to go now. :)

Looks like the southern boyz are fast, but I know we got some fast northern dudes too, come on out! :D

Any surprise guests this year?

Who's showing up?

I plan on rolling up there if the weather cooperates and with the big box of donuts.

As of right now, the weather for this coming weekend doesn't look too promising. Weather.com is predicting a 40% chance of thunderboomers both days but highs in the mid-70's. As anyone who lives in Michigan knows, you take forecasts with a grain of salt.

Tyler Garrad from Santa Barbara,Ca. will be there with his F hydro. He had a 115mph pass last time out!!!

Good luck Tyler & all who can make it to the SAW's

Don :)

Sorry been quite busy getting ready.

Yes, Tyler is coming out to run the big water with us, looking forward to meeting him. :)

Won't be long now...

Looking forward to it! Rigger is packed in a nice case, misc gear has been mailed ahead of time so all we need now is some decent weather. It looks like the thunderstorms are now reducing to a little change of showers. Temps look good though.

It's looks like we're missing the bullet again this weekend and as we've found out with early forecasts (and Michigan weather) we may have a decent weekend, lows in the mid-50's and we might just about see a high near 80 Saturday afternoon, breezy with partly cloudy skies. A slight chance of rain Sunday morning but clearing into a sunny day.

OK guys, show them that this lake is made for speed!!!!!!!!!

Sitting in my room at the M6 looking at the weekend weather, the warm front is through, gonna be warm and windy outta da south tomorrow, should be better Saturday after the big cold front goes through. Sunday looks like it'll be our best day.

Gonna meet FAST members Mike Nowicki & Mikey Ross tomorrow morning and get the course set up, won't be long now! :)

Hey Gang and all my FAST buddies.

It looks like I'll be sitting this one out but plan on being back in the fall with new 40 and 80 Hydros.

Terry, that's a great pic of my 40 boat, she sure looks good, or should I say.... it used to look good :D but we sure had fun.

I want to wish everyone the best of luck this weekend,

I'll sure miss that place.

Terry,

I just got home from training, sorry I could not make it down for the event. :(

I should have something for the Fall run though. Keep us posted if possible

how everything is going with you and the F.A.S.T. club members.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Thanks to the FAST guys (Terry, Mike and Mikey) for another great time. Not terribly fond of the Michigan weather  but it was great to see the guys again. Gary, Wally, David, and Tyler from California!

Some fast boats for sure! I'll be back in the fall to run the big water again. Not withstanding my close encounter with the 'point' late Sunday, I had a blast. You guys worked your tails off all weekend, keeping the water clean, the lights working and the show rolling.

Thanks Kevin for lunch Sunday! Ron for stopping by and shootin' the breeze. Ron J and Olly, thanks for coming down, you missed all my runs! Maybe in the fall!

Apparently I need more room on the right to left...any chance in the fall I can run it without the bouys in? LOL

I know there's 120 in that set-up!

Seeya'll soon

Just got home a while ago and dead beat as usual, so just a few hi-lites. I'll post pix and possibly write a Roostertail article this week.

Steve sure was right, if you don't like the weather in MI stick around, it'll change. We had 85F and sunshine Friday, thunderstorms, rain and cooler by Sunday after the big cold front went through. Got some pretty decent water at times and had the fastest passes ever at Thread Lake.

"Sismic Amigo" Tyler Garrrd came out from CA for a crack at the big water and had a 1.981 or 113.579 pass Sunday with his F (CMB 80) hydro, very impressive. Great guy "off the track" too!

FAST club member Mike Nowicki had a 2.318 or 97.066 pass Saturday with his B (21) hydro and a 2.267 or 99.250 mph shot Sunday with his 40 boat, Mike's always fast. Thanks again for all your hard work bro.

FAST member Mikey Ross has his new cat up to speed but not quite over the record so he pulled the motor and set the LSG36 Hydro record with his Mike Nowicki's hull at 2.625 or 85.714 mph, thanks too for all your hard work Mikey!

Wally Duarte came all the way again from NH but was somehow stuck in the mid 70's with his LSG27 cat, thanks Wally, "ain't as easy as it looks" eh?

Gary and David Preusse had several good runs, Gary with his little A Hawk and David with his 20 mono, and Sport boats.

Teddy Dudley came both days and had several runs getting ready for the upcoming season, thanks Teddy.

Doug Merani got a few runs in Sunday with his Eagle SG and had fun hangin' out.

Our IMPBA president Kevin Sheren and his wife Shannon came Sunday to cook us lunch, much appreciated!

But the big excitement for the weekend was our local "amp eater" Steve Reesor who bagged the P mono oval at 31.079 sec. and had the fastest passes ever on the big water with his Q hydro. Steve's record application will go in at 1.976 sec or 113.866 mph with a fast pass of 1.936 or 116.219 mph, making him also the fastest electric boater in IMPBA. Unfortunately Steve found our infamous "Pinkert's Point" Sunday but will be able to repair it for the fall. Forget 120 Steve, I wanna see a 1.800 flat! :D

Had another fun weekend thanks to the great people in this hobby of ours, see ya Oct. 2&3.

ps: FAST member Mark Stein is starting a new venture driving the big rigs and couldn't make it this weekend, hopefully he can make it in the fall.

Sure wasn't the same without you and Randy, that little Johnson you donated is running better than ever thanks to Mikey's tweaking, enjoy your new bride, we'll be here! :)

Thanks Terry, Mikey and Wally and the whole FAST gang for putting up with me in Flint and setting me up with fuel, pit space and good laughs. I had a great time eventhough record speeds were out of reach and the weather wasn't the best.

And who can forget about Friday night at Lonestar! I know Wally had a good time with his birthday celebration which is now forever emortalized on Youtube:

Congrats to the Mike's who bumped up the 36 rigger record and Steve for bumping several FE records.
