I have had some problems with receivers lately. I am using an Airtronics MX-3 setup that is 75Mhz FM. Last time I used it it would lose signal about 15 feet from the boat with the radio antenna at full length. I have also had one of my airplane receivers do the same thing. Is there an easy fix for these receivers? I know it could be alot of things I just thought someone else may have figured out what goes wrong with them. I just hate to spend another 35-75 dollars on another receiver if these can be fixed.

Also does anyone know of someone who repairs receivers. Also I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with the Hitec receivers.

I can get a single conversion for about 35 dollars for my radio. The hsf-03MM model. It is a single conversion reciever. Does it make that big of deal to have dual conversion?

Thanks again for the help.

There is a swap meet coming Feb, 15 in Owasso , Mi. and there is a guy that sets-up and does radio work there and takes home what he does not get to and sends them back to you. Scott

I would have to second that. Most hobby shops carry replacement wire. Make sure you cut it to the same length. Otherwise the receiver will be out of tune. If you have a continuity tester you can check it. Most digital multimeter have one. Just use ohms to check it. Strip the end of the wire and take the case off the receiver. Put one end of the tester on the end of the wire and the other on the solder joint at the board. If you can measure some ohms it is good. Try wiggling the wire around to make sure the break is not intermittent.
