since finishing my GT One i built a fountain 115 but now its time to build something new

This is my latest Project, A PSR/MHZ Wavefigther, that according to the seller has been going fast at SAWs in both germany and the US in the late 2010s
It came with most of the hardware to get it running as well as blueprinted bottom and motormounts for a Lehner 30XX motor but that will have to wait till i get the hull back to a useable shape

The hull is in need of a lot of TLC as a crash has cracked the deck and motormounts
the hull is Ligth for its size 2200g in its current form and 100cm in length is a very wide 32cm

The plan is to fix the structural damage, probaby strengthen it some- get it to a state where i can just drop a motor and ESC in it and have a fun boat to run at the Danish curcuit championship my fountain 115 may have to share its ESC and batteries with it but thats just because it does not turn well

Peter, the bottom is from an AC Magnum 67 from the US and later PSR changed to deck for the wave fighter as far as i know.
I still run my AC Magnum with a Zenoah 260 in it. Still love the boat.

Its a great running hull a few people race them in the danish clubs, i think its a little too tall for my taste

I got the crack prepped and did a wet layup of 2x 200g biax and 1x 135g carbon
Going way oversize for this to make sure its not cracking there againIMG20240606105203.jpg

Added a mixing stick to the edge of the carbon helping it follow the shape of the edge
Next is the motormounts and adding strengt to the bottom
 
Got a little work done yesturday, but accidentaly made this a lot bigger of a job..
I was cutting out the already mostly loose motor mounts and the loose part of the rails, and i went thru the hull.... :(
Anyway with the mounts and rails out the hull is even flexier than before so im going to have to add a fair bit of strength back in to it

The motor mounts are really nice milled 4mm carbon plates so i just cleaned them up and maybe they will go back in
 
I have the hardware to make it dual drive, but i also have a 47 inch Virus hull that is the next project.
im thinking this gets a Big single on 12s2p
Maybe a lehner, castle, TP, neu im open to idears.

I personally don't think Castle makes that great of a motor. For the $$$ its hard to beat TP Power. Never used Lehner motors but I see people get good results with SAW applications.
 
But if i go xlx2 what real options do i have?

I ran a 42" (1066mm) mono hull with a TP4070cm and XLX2 and was able to hit 90mph on just 6s.
I have been 85 mph so far with the same 6s setup in a 39" Seaducer and probably has a few more mph in it to match what the 42" did.

You could go a touch larger with a TP4080 motor.

It will have to be the 4080 svm to get a resonable kv for 8s im hopeing to run a abc 1915-23-50. For a okay top speed and good pull out the turns

Electrics i never tried them other then my retrieve boat
i have a 40 outrigger that i would like to try an electric motor
but i don't know where to start any info would help thank you

I wanted to add a rib to reduce the flex in the hull.
Step 1 foam with tape for the shape
Step 2 Cover foam with UD 50mm carbon
Step 3 45 degree carbon twill
Step 4 wait
It turned out great, i wish the twill was easier to push in the corners. but for a wet layup im happy with it

The motor questions was settled by my local hobbystore having a sale on castle 2028s so i now have both the 800kv and 1100kv to share between the fountain and the wavefigther.
The low kv means i can share props between the two aswell.
I used a leftover TFL 56mm motor mount and cut the rear ring to make it pinch on the sides around the motor wires.
It fits really well considering its not supposed to fit on the 53mm can base

I got the inlay finished its 3 big parts 1 in the front and 3 in the back. Im really pleased with how it looks and the stiffness it added

Next will be the re mounting the transom hardware and 'fixing' the exterior damage
