Rear exhaust in RTR classes

Each club kind of gets to make up their own rules, or which part of the "test rules" for the IMPBA they want to enforce. So, it would depend on the club you are racing at. But, from what I have experienced, a change from the stock engine to any other .18 engine would make your boat a modified RTR...not a stock RTR. If it was a .18 engine that was available in another RTR, then that might change things, and again, it would be up the the club you are running with.

Can anyone tell me if a rear exhaust .18 engine is legal for racing in the RTR classes?
It would depend on where you are racing. In NAMBA District 8, it would not be legal since the engines must be OEM.

Jerry I thought we could run any .18 under that set dollar amount (for mod class)? Has something changed? Just want to make sure I get it right for next year! lol

Jeremy, you are right. I was thinking about the Stock RTR Class.
