The Valleyfield Regatta is streaming live this weekend if you want to see some real hydroplanes running. Tunnels thru GP boats.

It's on the Hydroplane Quebec website and YouTube. I can't seem to get the address to copy and paste (Sorry). It's not hard to find.

Those Canadian GPs put on a good show. I wish we could get all of those guys, along with the GP West guys to join up at a race.

Anyone else catch the Gold Cup over the weekend? That U-96 is bad fast this year. The radical new GP-74 had a bad time of it, hope they can get it back on the water soon.

The U-96 was doing some interesting tweaking on their canard as well.

There was some SERIOUSLY AWESOME RACING in Tri-Cities last weekend. Couldn't believe the unlimited final where Theoret/Elam was DQed for entering the DMZ while trying to take lane one prior to the start. What was really sad is that Jean had the speed to win from any of the inside three lanes and lost due to a pre-race tactical mistake

If he can make it through the rest of the races without repeating a mistake like that I think he will win the championship.

I was there, Bad To The Bone !! , Hydro I wish we could of met. I went with two other club members of R/C model Boaters of Baltimore

Tim Clark had been going out to the Hydro museum in Kent to help restore the Blaster and Eric Thompson has known Steve David for

Actually, it's the 80 Bud, not the 82, thought the only difference(that I know of anyway) is the number of US-1 badges on the engine cowl.

Even on the trailer, the noise a Griffon puts out is impressive. First time I heard it, my ears rang for several hours afterword.

As for meeting up, wish I knew you guys were coming, we could have set something up. After losing my rudder linkage and driveline to milfoil, I spent the rest of the day in the pits and watching the racing. I did meet up with a couple from New Zealand, will be seeing them here, at work, in a couple of minutes. We will all be going to the Seafair races this weekend, before they leave town. Give me a shout next time and we can see what happens

Jimmy got hosed by H1 again.... Kelly gave him a hip check and got away with it. He will not beat Jimmy again this year if I know Jimmy. He needs to appeal the referees decision. Unfortunately the appeals will be heard by Steve David who has always had it out for Jimmy.

I don't think either driver was really at fault. Just a racing deal. JMK's boat made a dart to the left off a roller, then un hooked and went out a bit before he could get it turning again. Jimmy turned in a bit early, probably reacting to JMK's first move. Just a racing deal IMHO. That's why I don't feel either driver should have been penalized.

I wish it would go that way Jason but the powers that be will not see it that way. It's also a very strange coincidence the same scenario happened last year at the same final with the same outcome.
