Figured this needed it's own thread. :p

Ray Sametz needs a room mate for the Charleston Fall Nationals. Staying at the Best Western Sweetgrass Inn right on Savannah Pkwy. Rated number #16 out of the top 50 hotels in Charleston on TripAdvisor.com so it's no rat trap-

He even promises to bring his Breathe Rite strips so he won't snore. :D

no problem, when he gets to charleston, tell him to stop by the bus station    .

only reason it took me so long, i was at the new house painting all day. now the wife doesn't like the color SHE picked out <_< , have to repaint the living room.

Well at least I know where I can get my dinner reservations handled while in Charleston. Concierge Don will have a table set up in his new Tandem Axle trailer to help with hotel accommodations, dinner, and non-race recreational activities. Now Don, is this the same TripAdvisor that has a 24 of 53 rating for the Sleep In Charleston which is a One Star hotel? That Sweetgrass (no pun or 60's reference intended) has no Hotel Rating whatsoever. Is this how you hook your friends up?

FYI...rates at the Marriott Courtyard off I-26 and Montague are $103 to $149.

:D And that assumes that the "Traveler" giving the rating is either a discerning traveler who's perspective can be trusted, or somebody who's expectations are the same as yours.

Yeah, what I meant was Sweetgrass has no stars of five stars. Heck, my truck has that!

What recommendations do you have for dinner on Saturday night? I'd prefer casual and an atmosphere that can accept the smell of burnt oil and nitro with a slight hint of WD-40 on the finish. :p

Chris & gang,

Near the motels are a Red Lobster, Outback Steakhouse, Miyabi Japanese Steak house, and several Chinese eateries along with fast food. Nearer the lake is Gilligan's Seafood house and within a mile of the lake is JB's Smoke House with ribs, steaks and all types of other food.

No one should go hungry.

I highly recommend the Japanese steak house, we go there every year soaked in nitro, smelling like a camel's butt, and they still take our money. The food is AWESOME. mmm.... looking forward to hitting it again next year at the Tunnel Champs. Outback is always good as well.

You guys have fun!
