Anyone using a Radiolink RC6GS transmitter and RC7FG dual antenna receiver?
How are you doing your antennas, so they are 90 degrees apart? Do the insulated wires need to be at right angles, or just the tips?

Radio brand does not matter. The antenna is the un shieled end. it is the only part that matters. The jacketd portion can be anywhere. Best practice is to have the antennas oriented at 90 degrees. I would bet that the number of boaters that practice that is very small. Get the antennas out of the radio box preferably above any metal objects that can shadow them.

And to add.. get those antennas AS FAR above the water as you can. The further away from the surface of the water the better!

I run the antennas tucked in the hull and the transceiver horizontal. basically you want the antennas to match if the Rx is vertical, run the radio vertical. I dont do anything with the tips. I get at least 200 yards range.

the one antenna is for rx the other is for transmitting voltage telemetry back to the tx.
