WOW! Always one of my favorite comedians. I still remember seeing him on the pilot episode of Mork and Mindy...................

I'm usually not shocked when I see something like this but was and wasn't at the same time. Comedian/actors like himself are strung a little tight as it is as they often use comedy as an outlet for what's hidden inside.
Last night as the news continued to come out and as this afternoon when it was confirmed as hanging as the cause of death that I had gone thorugh a lot of things that he had but not in the degree that he went through. Post open-heart surgery is probably as bad as any other PTSD in its effects, deep depression and a chain of other things that happen to your body down the road. After my open-heart surgery I also had suicidal thoughts with deep depression. It's no picnicas it is without throwing that into the mix. Hospitals work too much on getting you physically well rather on what else can go on mentally. Only those that have been there can comprehend what it's like. Hospitals think that it's a running joke that you're not there to rest but get better. When you can't sleep because of nurses, aides, doctors, family, interns, etc. parading through your room it really gets to you. Yeah, they've got a job to do but at the same time you can't sleep when if it's not that it's the people talking outside of your room in ICU at all hours.
If you've seen Robin's movie on insomnia, he was going nuts in that because of not being able to sleep.
