You hit the nail on the head byron,,,

The new super tigre Q-18 tuned pipe will go right in there for ya.. Much quieter,, and makes the boat faster to boot, from what ive heard anyway.will know here shortly.

I talked to one of the guys that is hosting a race coming up, and they will not allow the new pipe on the old boat to run in the stock class. So if you plan on racing, you might want to check with the folks running the race to see if they will allow it.

I am sure this will change soon...I would think that in a few months, you won't even be able to get the version 2 MV any more...so they are going to have to allow the deuce and any of its parts to run in the stock class.

May I?

There was and is to this date only one Miss Vegas.. True we did make a few hardware change after the first shipments but the boat system part number stayed the same.. thats the key regarding most of the racing that has been going on with the boat.

The new boat will have a new part number..

Not sure what your point is Grim. What am I missing?? AQ called it an updated version, most folks call it the second version, or version 2.

Are you saying that when the Deuce is released they are going to keep the current MV available?? Or are you just pointing out that I called the "updated version", "version 2"? I noticed you had called the "updated version" the "MV2" and the "version 2" at one time or another on RCU...so I guess I am missing something...but I don't think any of this hits on the point of my post.

My point was just that if a person wants to race, they should check with their local club(s) and see what they will allow on the old hull before they spend money on things they can't use. If they are not racing...then it does not really matter what they do to the boat...just have fun.

I ordered one of the Super tigre pipes and have it here at the house. My plan was to put it on my kids boat for when they run stock class in the races around here. At least one club hosting a race won't allow it. I still would like to do some testing with it anyway...so not a big loss. I want to compare it to the MACS, and AB pipes on my CVRM. I also have a cooper QHP that I have never tried that I could compare it to also. Nothing like GPS results to confirm performance. Might even try it out on the kids' stock engines...then I can come back and post GPS results...

Out of the box, the main thing I noticed was that the inside diameter of the stinger seems smaller than any of the other pipes I mentioned. I would need to measure to confirm this.

My point is there is/are only two Vegas products.. (U-18 Miss Vegas and now Miss Vegas Deuce (2)..)

Just wanted to carify that for anybody else that might be following the thread.

Sean,

Here is the scoop on the U-18 and the Deuce..

We knew full well going in to this new product that we were going to have some confusion. The U-18 got nicknamed (not by us) the MV2 when the boat got the new hardware on it. Truth is there were only a very few boats shipped with the old brass struts on them. At first we kind of went with it but then realized that future new Vegas projects would be confusing.. and look.. they are…lol

The U-18 only had one part number regardless of what hardware one might have gotten with the boat. The reason that happen is because when I first came on the seen here at AQUA the U-18 was getting ready to ship.. as the Miss Elam.. Remember that! Anyway.

During this time one guy here mentioned that every time he put on a metal prop and got the boat running well it would break a shaft. Just starting out here I took a look at the cable and saw that it was 1/8”.. Im my opinion that’s just to small for a .18 and started an effort to set it up for a 150 cable. With that came a new strut and stuffing tube and flex coupler.

The first boats with the 1/8” shaft were on there way here so the first shipment had to go out that way.. all shipments past that point had the updated parts..

Now comes the Deuce.. we chatted about a lot of stuff but we knew if we called the boat Miss Vegas 3 that people would be asking us about Miss Vegas 2 when there would have been no miss vegas 2.. Remember only one part number per product!..

Also I hope you see now why my post as short and to the point.. It’s a long story and there more then just what I have mentioned above.. hahaha

Hope this made sense to you and that you’re ready for a great 09 racing session.

ROCK ON
