What sort of weight saving do you think you would get if you made crank and rod from titanium, as well as using titanium bolts? This would be on a 90 size engine.

I dont know what weight saving will come from a titanium rod, but will find out soon! B)

However titanium is not as hard as steel and would not be a suitable material for a crank. I would not worry about the weight of the bolts, that is a pretty light boat now!! Have you weighed it?
