We are having our race again this year over here in Greensboro NC. Mike (Mudbug) Hemric will cd (and we don't have to fly him in for this race). I will be posting entry this weekend. Looking forward to you all attending.

Blaise

Entry form is now posted. I will update as I receive them.

Thanks, Blaise

Blaise, I see on last year's flyer you did not have a novice class. I would love to come down from Northen VA but not unless my son can race and he runs a FE Aeromarine Mean Machine (29" Cat). Got a place for him for him to run?

We will offer all IMPBA classes, three boats to make a class. We will also fit all odd boats somewhere. Our race is meant to be fun and enjoyable for all.

I will be posting Flyer ASAP this weekend.

The flyer is missing sport 40 and 1/8 scale both are D12 points classes. :)

We're not going to advertise the FE classes that will be running in the district this year?

We will run "ANY and ALL IMPBA" CLasses. 3 Boats to Make a Class. You can write in any class in entry form!

Thank you, Blaise

Chilli,

Like Don Ferrette said at the D12 awards banquet, the FE P Spec hulls are going to be run mixed in with the "B" / 20 classes. The district is saturated with classes and will not add any new classes as such. I suggest you talk more to Ferrette on this. He must make sure that all district club presidents understand what is going on and what is going to be allowed or it will be a big mess. Later, James Beasley

I understand that James. I guess I was mistaken in thinking that ALL classes agreed to be run at district races are included in the district race fliers. I was hoping the FE classes that were agreed to run with the "B"'s would be included. I know you and Dick are hoping for enough Spec Tunnel participation to run a separate class in 2011. If we don't let people know we are running FE's in the district, it's going to be tough to attract new racers. Additionally, the participants that attend our races need to be made aware that we are running combined classes. Lastly, the spec classes in tunnel and hydro are not IMPBA classes but district classes. Thats all I've got to say on the subject guys. Sorry for the hyjack Blaise. I dont want to cause any descension in the district. What ever Don decides is fine by me. I'm happy just to have a place to run. I do plan on going down to Greensboro as long as I dont get run out of town.

I took over the job of getting the flyer drawn up and posted. Other then reading the FE post on the fourms I was not up to date on the issues concerning running FE with B class boats.

Bottom line, will will run all classes that have 3 boats entered, and we will try to mix any class together so long as all involved agree. At the Carolina Showdown the main emphasis is on fun and whtether the BBQ should be pork or beef. Always loads of fun and low pressure in Greensboro. Cheap hotels as well!

Get them entrys in!!!!!!

Beef BBQ in Carolina? Are you kidding me??? I thought state law prohibits such blasphemy.

Entry will be in the mail tomorrow.

With a name like that, how can it not be great!!! And after eating what has been claimed to be Carolina Q for years, it will be nice to chow down on the real deal.

I was out to the PTPT pond recently and the pond was looking real good. Met up with a bunch of the club members and a few new folks. The pond did have a couple of trees that seemed to have fallen onto the retrieval dock but Mike Byers said no big deal……he always tackles the most difficult jobs with a “will get it done” attitude.

We have about six weeks before the NC race. Get them entries in. Mudbug wants to know how many pigs we have to butcher!!!!!!!

hey i can run B tunnel ill have my remote linked thru sattelite and control my boat lol

Julian, Now that would be cool! I'm sure it could be done with the stuff you guys are using over there.

Have a Happy Easter, be safe and I look foward to racing again with you soon.
