I HAVE A 33 INCH MICRO BURST THAT HAD A NOVA ROSSI IN IT THAT I SOLD COULD I PUT A BIG ELECTRIC MOTOR AND HOW MANY BATTERYS TO MAKE THIS A FAST STRAIGHT LINE BOAT

It won't take a BIG motor. Just a Neu brushless 1515-1.5Y motor and 18 cells will go 66mph in a 33" Seaducer hull. That was done last week at Speedweeks in Valdosta.

HEY RON I WAS TALKING TO CHRIS FINE AND HE RECOMENED THAT I USE THE 8XL HACKER MOTOR WITH THE CASTLE 125 SPEED CONTROLLER WITH A X442 PROP WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS SET UP IS THIS A BETTER MOTOR I KNOW THE SPEED CONTROLLER IS THE SAME YOU RAN.

my current interest is in SAWS and set'n records, i choose Neu motors, we hold the current I.M.P.B.A. Q-Mono record at 66.39 mph...

in March we will attempt to set records in S and T-Mono as well using Neu motors...

i guess it depends on what you want to do with your project boat...

Ron

IS THE NEU MOTOR FASTER THAN THE HACKER I WANT TO GO AS FAST AS POSSIBLE

the newest NAMBA Q-Mono 1/16th mile SAWS record [pending] is 59 mph and change set with a Neu motor...

the newest I.M.P.B.A. Q-Mono 1/16h mile SAWS record [pending] is 66.39 mph set with a Neu motor...

speed is a total package as you know and Hacker wasn't part of eighter of these new Q-Mono record's package...

results indicate that with a Neu motor you can match a given Hacker's rpms and swing a bigger prop...

the answer to your question is YES... IMO

ron i ended up finding a hacker 8xl motor for the project i got it for $129.00 used from a guy i couldnt pass that up. i'm looking for the castle 125 speed controller to go with it and i'm going to try that set up first and see what i get i will run 18 cells and try the x442 prop.
