Hey guys,

Has anyone dropped a QD25 in one of the 44" proboat 1/8 scale Miss Budwieser hydros? Is that too much engine in that boat?

I was Lucky enough to get a chance to run one a weekend ago,and I must admit it was alot of fun..But I think if it had more power it would have been undriveable..It was hard to keep from blowing over with the stock engine it came with..Verry light up front of this hull, and alot of changes would have to be made to keep it on the water at full song...Just my 2 cents....

someone's has tried it, but I can't remember the link to his webpage. He moved the motor mount way forward to compensate for the added grunt, and had to modify the cowl around it...

I ran this boat with a full mod Zenoah and got over 55mph without blowing over. I put spoilers on the front canards,8oz of lead in the left sponson and made a new turnfin. I ran it at the IMPBA record trials but was told that the boat is illegal because of the rear sponsons. The turnfin is the real hold back for getting any speed.

If its as good looking in person as it is in photo's..... then I might have to roll my pennies and get one.
