I've always been sold on the S255 prop for most racing conditions in Scale. Just my opinion.

I'd like to hear some recommendations on what people think of any other brand prop and number for 3/16 shafts that would be comparable or you think better than a 255.

Motor CMB .67 Green

Scale Hydro 15 lb

Muck pipe

Northwest Conditions...Low humidity, 0-1000 ft sea level

High torque and high end required.

here in the midwest we use octura x460 x3blade props on most. Course the round guys use 1460 or 1462 ive not tried a Prather s255 maybe i will try to find one for testing purposes....Mike

X460 3 Blade...Great for top end but trying to accelerate from an almost off plane situation on a start is next to impossible for me. Everyone else would be at the corner.

If you like the X460 3 Blade and you have a chance to run a 255, try it. All around they are tough to beat.

I told you the answer... why are you sitting back and pickin' off the responses... Mike's a friend of mine. Put the modified 250 on there, or the 455-3 pitched like I told you...,

and BTW, tell David to run the 460/3... ;)

Sincerely,

PakMan

prather 255, Octura 457/3 blade, & Octura X460 2 blade are all in the same class of props.

Hi,

2 Guys here in Australia can duplicate props...One can make them from Cobalt Crome, and another from an alloy similar to BeCu, but not the same (better)

Kris

Dear Dave Pakman,

Unless its 90 plus degrees out the 250 OR the 455/3 IS NOT THE PROP FOR THE BOAT. Give me some credit. I'm the one winning with it. Don't beat me up on the site for responding to a thread I started.

They're not really back as K&B was using the Prather props. Hyperformance Products bought the molds from Prather so they will return but who knows when is the question.

Well K/B has stock and i just bought some from them. Nelson Wong is out of stock long as i get my props i dont care who has them.

That's the attitude Mikey! :D

I was looking for some 220's shortly after hearing that Prather was closing its doors as my .21 mono loves them. I found 2 in Puerto Rico that a guy was selling over at Jim's. He may have some other sizes in stock also. No telling how long it's going to be before Dave gets production up and going, hopefully soon.

The props are on High Performance's web page.

Don't know if they have them ready though, as they did not answer my Email.

That's twice now.

I like to use the Prather 255, but you have to set your boat up accordingly. I've even tried a cut down 260, but if you lose too much speed in the turn, it doesn't accelerate quick enough. Have you tried an X 560?

Tom Kelly

I've tried most all combos. For the boats we run I test, test, test and when it comes time to race I always seem to go back to tried and true.

It does seem that they will continue to be available, K&B picking up the casting.

Anyone have an outlet for the Prather coupler material?

Bill
