I'm glad you an Allan have made contact. One of his goals as our new District 6 Director is to get some clubs established in your area. Currently there is a club in Mpls./St.Paul, Wichita, and Ok.City.

Hi my name is Tom Schaeffer. I live in North Kansas City (Parkville area) and have been involved in this hobby in sone form or another for over 35 years (since I was about 10 years old). I used to hang out with John Aquino (Grandview) but I'm all but certain he's out of the hobby entirely. There were a couple guys in the Topeka, KS. area who I was talking with a couple years ago (amazing how time flies) but due to my crazy schedule we just never were able to get together. Anyway, I'm assuming the lake out at "Rocky Hollow Park" near Excelsior Springs is still available but we should contact the Clay County Parks people and find out a status on that. I had been out there several years ago doing some testing and the drivers' stand was still in place etc. but I can't speak for the condition or evn if it's still there at this point. It was a nice stand. I've also had conversations with the people in Concordia about running at their city park lake and they're cool with that too. This would be a cool idea in that it would help us attract some St Louis boaters.

I own several boats. Most of my fleet is NITRO stuff but then again I have several GAS hulls also. I say that not to brag or boast (frankly I feel like an idiot cuz I never run anything) but it's time I did. If you know anything about this hobby its allot of fun but like anything else can be demanding and it's nearly impossible to launch a Cat or a Hydro by yourself etc. so I'm very interested in forming and growing a strong presence in the KC area again. My fleet consist of the following:

HYDROS-Riggers/Sport 40:

1) Roadrunner U/L Hydro CMB 1.01 redhead

2) Roadrunner U/L Hydro CMB .91 redhead

3) Roadrunner U/L Hydro CMB .67 greenhead

4) Roadrunner U/L Hydro CMB .45 redhead

5) Cajun Bullet Hydro CMB 3.5 greenhead

6) Cajun Bullet Hydro BTB G260 (Gas)

7) P/T RC marine Designs SS45, CMB 7.5 redhead

8) Steve Muck Sport .40, OPS 7.5

HYDROS- 1/8th Scales

1) Miss Bud T-5 Turbine, CMB .67 greenhead

2) Miss Elam Turbine, Picco .67

3) Miss Dayton Ohio, CMB .67 greenhead

4) Miss Madison Turbine, CMB .67 greenhead

5) Miss O'Boy Oberto Turbine, CMB .67 greenhead

6) Miss Freddies Club Turbine, CMB .67 greenhead

7) Miss York Turbine, CMB .67 greenhead

8) Miss Squire 72', CMB .67 greenhead

Cats:

1) Aeromarine "Jesse James" Scale Cat CMB 1.01 redhead

2) Stryker Cat BTB G260 (Gas)

Monos:

1) Seaducer 20 Mono SD2 CMB 3.5 valvola

2) Seaducer 20 Mono SD2, Nova/Rossi 3.5

3) Seaducer 45 Mono SD3 CMB 7.5

4) Seaducer 60 Mono SD2 CMB .67 greenhead

5) Seaducer 60 Mono SD2 CMB .67 greenhead

6) Seaducer 80 Mono SD2 CMB .80 greenhead

7) Seaducer 90/1.0 Mono SD3 CMB .91 Redhead

8) Seaducer 90/1.0 Mono SD3 CMB 1.01 Redhead

9) Cal-Craft 60 Mono OPS .67

10) Speedmaster 20 Mono, Nova/Rossi 3.5

11) Hurricane Gas Mono, BTB G260

12) Scale 72" "Pier 57" Mono G260

13) Scale 54" Cruiser

14) Scale 50" cruiser

Anyway other than a few other hydros & mono's that's about it.

Everything I listed above is RTR or darn close to being.

Needless to say I've got some money invested in this stuff and I haven't fired an engine in over 18 months. 90% of these boats have never been run...period.

I have in excess 30 engines aside from those already in boats, in excess of 300 props, and God only knows how many pieces of hardware new and used, pipes, starters, etc. etc. etc.

I don't want to sell anything unless it goes to building a local club.

Give me a shout sometime.
