Pipe length for a gas rigger

i'm running a Gizmo Torquemaster Pipe on a JAE gas with a RCMK 254 whats a good starting point for the pipe length

My 260 ran well at 13" from the band to the outside edge of the cooling cap. That seems to be about the most common answer I've read as well.

I spoke with Gizmo today the guy I talked to said start at 12 and work my way in to about 11 1/2 I have to get a new header before I can do anything with it since the header thats on it is to short
