A friend came up with with a Don Pinckert rigger with a fiberglass tub section. It's roughly 30 inches long and undrilled. The label inside the tub says Don Pinckert/Daytona. Would this be for a .21 size engine? Anyone have set up instructions for this hull...or some ideas on setting it up? (like, should the drive line be off center?...or engine placement/ balance point?) Thanks, RC

Roger,

From the length, assume that it is a 45 boat. I have a 60 Pinckert Coyote, which has a 34" tub.

There should be no engine offset - can you advise anymore info on what your friend's boat consists of? I built multiple Pinckert boats in my earlier boat life and will try to answer any ?'s your friend might have.

Tom

Tom If you ever decide to part with the rigger ,Let me take a look. I traded Joe a few fins and tunnel hull engine / hull He has no use for the .21 size hull as he wanted the Tiger outboard.

Tom, I'll see if I can get it and bring it out to Stony Pond some time when we are both there. What he showed me was the a fiberglass tub with what looked like wooden sponsons already mounted on boom tubes. I did not see any hardware or stuffing tube holes in the tub. Roger
