It's been 10 years since I built a P mono. I just rebuilt my DF33 for P Limited but have not been able to test, everything frozen. It's a much shallower Vee than this mono and I did change trim tab placement on it but not sure if it's correct until spring.
I watched this video of a guy building a large mono and even though the video is time lapsed, he goes quite quickly at it. He drills the strut hole first (my first question) How high? It's a DF Cyberstorm 34" with no ride pad. I plan to run a 4082 motor, 2000kv or my Neu 1521 1.5D so that tells you what range of props I will run.
Trim tab placement? Should their placement have any relation to the strakes or the center line of prop shaft?
The strut is a TFL Stinger. It has some slotted holes for adjustment but a flooded stuffing tube is a bit of a pain in the arse when I plan to put the motor about 6" from the transom approx.
Turn fins are not a big deal I don't think.
I just want to get started drilling soon.
Any help is much appreciated!
