Hello, I want to change my pto bearings and I am wondering how you guys hold the shaft from turning when removing the nut and also which direction does the nut come off? Thanks

3mm square drive bit and anti clockwise is loose

OK, that is how I tried to get it off but it split the end of the shaft. It seems like the nut is either locked or extremely tight.

It might be installed with Loctite. Use heat.
