I can't speak for Chuck, but if I were a seller and one person asked me a question, but showed no clear intent to buy, and another said, I'll buy it, I'd be inclined to sell it to the one who said he's buying. From a buyer's perspective, if I were interested in something, but it was contingent on the item having a certain feature, I'd probably post something like "if it's a drum rotor, I'll buy it" so the seller would know I was serious.

The least he could've done is to say to Ed "Let me ask if Nick wants the engine, since he was the first to reply. And if he doesn't, then you got yourself the engine." I wouldn't have bought the engine anyways, because it is a disc. But i would've liked to have a chance to choose whether I do or not.Nick
