I don't know the history of this boat per say, but Seava made a big Kevlar hydro push many years ago. So the boats at least 10 - 12 years old.

I'd say your biggest watch out is if you plan to run the scale class if this boat officially meets the measurments required from the scale roster and if the decals and boat are true to a real race hydro. The length and width are one part but you'll need to measure depth or height as well. All it takes is for something to be off and your screwed, come to think of it does anyoneactually race a Seava scale?

They built some Sport 40's also at one time. I haven't heard anything good about the company. He mentioned it being built by someone in the Detroit area. All I can think of is Joe Weibelhaus as the possible builder. It seems like he had some experience with the Seava hulls.

the items i see wrong with it:

Radio box not contained,

Fuel tank on wrong side,

no clear windshield with driver

The fuel tank is fine where it is, keeps weight on the turn fin. Now I will say the center (tub) area is offset to the wrong side for the direction we run our boats (opposite the real ones).

Not to mention.... 18lbs.??????

And $1300 for a one color & clearcoat paint job?? Ummm.. yeah....sure.

 This boat shure looks nice in the pics but Damn without knowing if it meets the scale rules I would'nt bid unless it was going over my fireplace. And I agree with Don, is the paint made of gold????

Kevin, to run in our district, you would have to modify the canopy. You could run it for 2-3 races but then it would have to be done like the real thing. Lots of work for something of that price.....

The boat appears to be the 1994 T-3. The canopy is definitely an issue but not a difficult one to fix. The turbine tube is wrong, but that also isn't too hard of a fix.

Based upon the 50" length quoted, if he is including the wing set back I think the length and width are fine.

For the most part the decals all look OK, although the "1" on the nose is wrong. The canard flaps look funky with a bunch of screws showing through the paint.

The radio is not current, doesn't use the narrow band frequencies.

Not a bad boat, but it definitely needs some changes to be correct. If they used Sikkens paint as it is implied, then you are looking at at least $400 worth of paint. Even though it is only Red,White and Black.

How much is it worth? Well bidding is already over $2,075. I'll watch where it goes and maybe put my own T3 up if it goes real high.

Odd that he has one picture of the two-wing boat mixed in....

If you can afford the boat you can afford the shipping as well:

Buyer pays for all shipping cost.

The wood crate built for boat is 60" long x 34" wide x 27" tall and is a heavy 85lbs, probably have to be freight trucked to your location.

We will have to figure out shipping cost when I know your location.

You can figure shipping will be a little costly unless you can pick-up from location

you know that's gonna cost a small fortune initself. But the boat will get there safely.
