Went out and brought in the mail this afternoon and found 3 items. Two from the IRS and one from Pacific gas and Electric. I was starting to think this was going to be a bad day. I opened the one from PG&E first. No amount due- you have a $24.00 Credit. Opened the other two from the IRS and it was a adjusted refund for $881.00. Treasury check included. Even a blind squirrel gets a acorn once in a while.

Good news my friend.

Robert, You elected to keep working after you retired- I did not but had to pull $29,000 out of a tax sheltered account to buy my home in CA outright. I got spanked really hard by the IRS that year. I sold a lot of boats/ motors and other parts to keep my head above water. So now I do not touch that tax sheltered account or work and my income is so low I do not even have to file a CA return anymore. The more you make- the more they take.

I guess to i am lucky i make right at what they allow and dont have any refunds all works out actually i am making more now that i am retired figure that out
