When I bought this fuel it was clear. Now a few weeks later I noticed it had an orange tint to it. IS it still good? What causes this? Common?

Yes, it has seen some sunlight. Is it still good?

I've seen that before. At one of the Hydro Masters John Barr put 5 gal. of O'Donnell into a clear VP jug, turned brown before the end of the day. He still ran it without any problems IIRC. ;)

Even if you keep it out of the sun, it will still turn orange. That is how I know how old the fuel is. Mine stays in the trailer until needed. Last year's fuel gets used first. No problems with running it.

Just to be safe id contact the manufacturer of the fuel. Better spend 300 seconds finding out, than spending 300$ for a new engine!

Phil ;) :) -_-

I've just always assumed it had an orange tint because everytime I've bought O'Donnell's it had an orange glow about it.

Fellas,

Mine is still light yellow the way it comes from the factory. Orange or any

other color, then your fuel has had too much exposure to light and/or air.

It will not affect the performance of the fuel as long as you don't keep the

jug open to the air too long. Freshness is the way to go with fuel. :D

Good Luck,

Mark Sholund
