Hey gang :D

Just as an observation I get the feeling that there is a touch of division between the east and west coasts on this website.

One thing that is vital to the growth of this hobby is the unity of all. I know that there are different originations that govern our hobby and to tell you the truth I think that this is a good thing.

I hope that I am just being over paranoid and that there is nothing to this goofy claim. : :)

Lets face it without everbodys input and advice most of us would be left in the dark when it comes to learning all that cool things that are out there...this includes me too... so on this note lets keep sharing information no matter where you are located.

Common gang keep posting so we can keep on learning. ;D

This concludes your pep talk for today.. ;D ;D

You're being paranoid. I'm as hard core, NAMBA loving, surf riding (only at the Nationals) westerner you will find. However, I find myself caring about Cathy Preusse's IMPBA District 4 race results, IMPBA District 1 Director Teddy Dauphine's new baby girl, and Polish 7.5 hydro national champion Chris Lisiak's home. These are people I met through model boating. In addition, there are all the "virtual" people I have "met" on sites like this. We have a very tight, worldwide community of model boaters. The more I am able to travel and meet everyone, the more I enjoy the hobby.

Yeah I kinda noticed this too ;)

What I dont want to see is a brand X vs brand Y type of thing.

Reguardless if your talkin hulls, engines, or governing bodies, its all boating to me, Just go splash one and start havin fun.

Let the info flow and we will all learn something in the process.

A little banter back and forth is common, that's just racing, I just dont want to see a line in the sand being drawn ;D

I think everyone has been great on here and helping eachother out, I probably would of sold all the boats if it wasnt for people on here giving advise.

There is some great people out there, engine builders, hull builders and most of all, common every day boaters giving and taking advice.

east coast/west coast?? you mean like Biggie and Tupac?? :D

grim i gotta ask you then, what about PJ?? maybe he's just universally on the outside cuz of livin in texas...lol..well, there's another strike against texas erin!! ;)

texas= no coast to affiliate with......;D

or maybe that means your with both.......... ???

I haven't noticed it in here. You must be spending time on Marty's site. That's what I love about it here, no politics. Let's keep it that way! I'm in the IMPBA because that's all that we have here except for one NAMBA club in Lansing that runs electrics. If NAMBA, APBA, AMYA, NAVIGA or whatever had nitro races around here I would race in those too. OK, a Nitro sailboat was a bit much................ : :)

NAMBA does have a cooler web site though.

are you sure he dosen't have a coast.... maybe we should give him his own.... the SOUTH COAST hehe...... texas does have a nice chunk of the gulf... j/k haven't noticed too much of it... and i'd rather have it that way then like slideblues says and a fierce fight over brand x or y.

Texas HAS it's own coast! South Padre, BABY!!! 8)

Remember what General Stonewall Jackson said..."Texas can survive without the United States, but the United States can't survive without Texas."

Propjockey Racing.....proudly supporting the United States of Texas! ;D

Hey gang I'm from Louisiana the bayou state but we only have 3 active clubs in the state, to run scale hyros I have to go to Texas, either Houston or Dallas-Fort Worth. Doesn't seem to bee to many 1/8th Scale buffs ont htis site either but I find it very pleasing to read all of the topics every day before and after my work day.

District Five includes the louisiana groups all the way up to TN guys there is a void of scale hydros in between Harry Gerhart dist 5 scale director is working on. The TN and north section of Dist 5 has scales too just can't get the south LA guys and North TN guys to meet up at some races. Both could learn alot from each other. As far as I know none of the Louisiana scale drivers has registered thier scale boats with Harry fro the District Five races.

Hey where do us Aussies fit in this argument??? The REEEEEEELY DOWN SOUTH COAST?????

And now that I have run IMPBA and NAMBA I can safely say that both are very hospitable and I have not seen any sledging at either nationals against the opposing organisation.

Oh and Mr Grim (if I may call you that)... Tanks please!!! :) (getting the whip out)

EMS Racing We are not prejudiced, we hate everybody equally

I have not noticed any problems on this forum.

Hey Craig,

I am saving the pennies for a US nats next year! Just need more boats...

Nitrocrazed racing: Planning world domination. Sort of.

Hmmmm let me see...

Well I will have a spare F Hydro to suit A90 / 100. Also have a 7.5 tunnel, maybe a spare 67 rigger and (god forbid) a Zenoah in my Twincraft... all these boats are available on attractive lease plans :)

Gee, I already have an F hydro. With a new 67 I can have a 67 hydro in the hull (it's small enough!)

If that is a 7.5cc OB tunnel, you couldn't make me! :p

You have a petrol boat?

I am thinking of getting a mono that could accomodate the 67 and a 45. And possibly a big mono to take a Zenoah and an A100.... 8)

Speaking of petrol, how is that Zircon restoration coming along? I am thinking about trying to get 16-25 Multi going over here to try and save Multi racing, as 21's are dying out.

Nitrocrazed racing: So much for not building any new boats this year.

Ian,

The Zircon is out of my hands. Have given it to Jason (one of the Mulwala racers) and I suppose it is when he has time to look at it.

HOWEVER!!! (drum roll)

I do have a Polaris (another english multi not made by Dave Marles) for 90 multi. I was thinking of replacing the A90 in my Seaducer for a newer one and moving the older one to that hull. May be worth putting together???

Ian I think OBs are you!!!!

Also have an original Sprint cat 21 (45 again??) and a Wizard canard sitting around doing nothing....

EMS Racing yes we have all sorts of crap.. oops I mean gems in my collection.

I think my 'bird is bigger than yours! :p

But it is still smaller and lighter than many 67 hulls, so i think it should be okay. I just have to work out if I go Russian or Italian for horsepower....

In the Multi racing over here we have found the older hulls were better on clockwise courses, currently Monza's are by far the dominant hull, better than the Tempest. Or my old Lazer. RIP!

So an older type hull like yours might be ideal. I doubt we could get 90 multi going due to prohibitive fuel consumption, plus we have more petrol members than nitro now. And a Zenoah would be easy to keep running for 15 minute races! ;D

I did see a rather nice new Rossi 45 OB a few months ago.....But not in this lifetime! (sorry Tim!)

Ah, the canard. Not for NAMBA tho......

Nitrocrazed racing: Should we put Multi on the Nats etry form this year?

Whats wrong with a Canard for NAMBA???

And the multi hulls you described are not even in my vocabulary.

Oh and please dont include Multi in the entries... I have enough with maintaining the current boats and having 3 on the drawing board already... please give me a break!!!

EMS Racing might as well do NAVIGA triangle while you are at it
