O.S. 21xm Crank Thread

Hey Guys

What is the Thread size on the O.S. 21xm outboards crank? It is a left hand thread.

I can't get a factory replacement part in time for this weekends contest, and need to know so I can try and source a nut from a jobber supply.

After buying a couple 1/4x28 left hand nuts, and finding that they didn't fit (AArrg!!), I took the boat to the bolt shop.

Turns out the O.S. 21 outboard crank thread is M6x1.0 left hand. I was able to get the proper nut.

Just thought others would like to know in case they need a spare for an emergency.

I know the K&B is 1/4 28 left hand.... but I found it hard to believe that the OS was the same... but I wasnt sure. Thanks for the input..
