Friends, I'm sorry to cover this again, but I have had about 10 people over the last few days tell me they just heard about the new Nova .46. I guess I didn't do a good job letting ya'll know about it when it first came out! Anyway, these motors are awesome! Martin has been running his more than anyone else I know and has it going in the upper 80's even in these crazy hot temps we have been having.

Some of the specifics of the motor:

- bore .816

- stroke .867

- ave exhaust timing 186 (main exhaust port 189 and exhaust boosters 183)

- boost 132

- transfer 135

- crank open 211 ATDC

- crank close 69 ATDC

- total intake duration 217

- The intake system is basically a ramped drum running in ball bearings.

- 9 intake ports

- flat topped piston

Of course they have the usual Novarossi quality...the machining and design are simply amazing.

The cost is $450 and I have plenty in stock.

Here is a picture of one in my JAE .45 boat...

Thanks Glenn for reminding us all just how nice this piece is!

Thanks Rodney, yes these are great motors right out of the box! maybe Martin will chime in and tell us about his. I know he had to work pretty hard to get any better performance than they have stock.

Glad to hear it Mike! With 3 gallons through it, it should almost be broke in and ready to really run!

I'm hoping so, but the boat's not finished yet. It needs some paint, strut, rudder, shaft, and turn-fin. I got it right before I went back to school.

KP and Scott ran one in there sport 40 to set IMPBA SAW record in April ( 87mph ave). No problems pulling Good props..

I can turn cut down 1662 in my rigger with nova 46..

Hope that helps

Regards Aaron
