New Race site and new race for 2013

D-4 Johnson City IL located 5 minutes from Marion IL. This site is in a campground,protected by trees and in a valley low wind area. Tonite the city council gave the go ahead to hold a race May 4-5 with open water all day on the 3rd. Camping and some rental cabins will be available. Anyone with interest in coming to this race please contact me by email [email protected] put race in subject line. All our normal classes will be offered. More to come such as hotels and a race flyer. Good to expand more sites and develop this site into a great place to race......Mike

Actually, there is only one cabin in the campground and it has already been reserved. Nearest hotels are in Marion, less than 10 minutes away.

I have camped and tested boats at this campground. It is protected from high winds on all sides. The City is excited to have us and The River City Racing Club is hosting it. A first class organization. It should prove to be a great event!
