Roger,

Nice collection of items on the web site.

Now you just need to make it all a little more affordable.

The 21is more than a 45? Really?

Any specials or promos?

Nice Job,

Mark Sholund

What a rip off.
For a low volume hand assembled product it is well within the cost/profit ratio. Wish we could make it cheaper but at the moment if we did we'd be paying YOU to buy it. I thought up the idea because I myself wanted a more readily accessible, slicker, better looking solution. I like the solution. Maybe it is not worth it to you. That's fine. To each his own. I understand not everyone is like me but thought there might be a few so I decided to offer it as a product. Thank you for the feedback though. I appreciate it.

Hey Mark,

Can you offer up a price comparison among anyone selling online or even over the phone. Some place where prices are public? I did a cursery search and came across Seaducer with CMBs and the AA engine is cheaper than the prices they have there. I looked quickly for prices on OPS, Picco, and CMBs elsewhere but found nothing online. I did find the OS Max 46 for 279.99. and the .21 for $429.99. The AA .21 is Cheaper and has better performance out of the box.

Roger,

Call Glenn Quarles for Nova Rossi pricing.

Pretty hard to beat a 5 port for $215.00, 7 port

Around $345.00, 35+ is around $425.00 if I remember

correctly. Been awhile since I have ever seen a 45 cheaper

than a 21 motor. I understand economics Roger but it is pretty

hard to beat Nova Rossi quality for pricing like that. I run CMB,MAC,

and Nova Rossi myself.

Thanks For The Reply,

Mark Sholund

One thing for sure A/A engine prices are much lower than CMB. At least $50 per engine, if you are a special customer. If you are just a regular boater, you can pay as much as $100 more than an A/A 45 to get a CMB 45. On top of the higher engine price, you have to pay up to $30 for shipping and handling fees.

The A/A 21 is lower in price than the CMB 21, but is higher than the NovaRossi 5 port engine. The A/A 21 is priced similar to the NovaRossi 7 port 21.

One more item of interest is that most boaters send their CMB engines to someone to have it modified so that it will run competitively. The A/A 45 needs no modifications and was designed so that a beginner would have good performance right out of the box.

Oh... Another thing...

There is quite a commitment that has been made into AA Engines. There is no other engine with the type of inventory especially inventory in the US. We always want a manufacturer to support boaters well here it is. Engines, parts and Accessories. No need to wait for several weeks for parts. It also means YOU don't have to tie up so much of your hard earned cash keeping engines and parts on hand because you don't want to have to wait weeks or even months because it's out of stock at your local dealer right when you need it most.

Roger, no need to defend the AA engines. From everything I can tell, they speak for themselves. Everyone seems to be very happy with them. I think the only reason you dont see more of them is because of what people ARE looking to spend on motors in this economy/day and age. This all costs ALOT of money, and we all SHOULD know that by now. For someone to step out and create another motor is a godsend to this hobby. just sayin.

Really nice Rack Roger

Are you going to be selling the JRS boxes as well ?

I think @ $325.00 the price is about right

Its not for everybody but i like it

Greg
We will sell the JRS boxes w/ purchase of the rack. However if you already have JRS boxes you can purchase the rack by itself or however many you will need to fill it up.

One word. OUTBOARDS!

I think they'd sell very well considering the only true outboard manufactures(no special aftermarket crank or PTO required) now are CMB with the RS .21, O.S. with their XM sport engine, and Rossi with their lackluster performing 3.5 gold head. Unless you want to scrap together some old used K&B parts.

The engine competition for 7.5 outboards is even less with only Nelson and Rossi the only ones currently offering true outboard engines (not the inboard/outboard conversion kits that people are using on CMBs).

Whereas competing only in the inboard market, you face stiff competition from Nova Rossi, CMB, Picco, GO, O.S., possibly OPS now, and a few others.

I know it might be a costly to retool the AA 7.5 engine to suit a crank shaft and a pto, but I wouldn't think that it would be all that difficult to get a reverse crank made for the AA .21 SLS.

Just throwing out some ideas. I hope you guys make it happen though because I've personally seen an AA engine up close, and I can say that it is a VERY nice piece of machinery. I'd love to hang one on the back of my Lynx ;) Thanks again Al and Roger for all you guys are doing for the hobby and the quality products you guys are offering.

Roger, that is a GREAT looking, well designed rack. I would also like to commend you on your incredible patience. To go through the effort of bringing such a custom item to market only to have someone thoghtlessly call it a "ripoff".......you responded with great diplomacy!

Eric

I really like Joe stuff but to have all my props stolen in one swift swoop.. I dont want them all together!.. lol

Looks great Joe!

Grim
Yah... that is a thought. But if your boats, trailer and/or all your running gear is stolen it's a good thing you will still have all your props though. LOL!
