After about 10 months of searching and working to get a club lake, we finally have one. It is perfect. We are leasing it from Hamilton County for $1.00 a year. RC Boating lake only. No nothing, but RC boats.

I was at the lake the other day and it was windy....15-20mph winds. I went by the lake, and the water was glass. There is great protection from the wind in 3 directions. We are working on the lake this Saturday (24th). We are using a 'dozer to flatten an area out for the pits. We are also going to eventually install a drivers stand. The lake is 475' wide, and 1,050' long. Perfect size.

When we lost our lake we felt like somone took our hearts out...now we have a lake we are really proud of.

To see the lake, go to

Cincinnati Model Boat Club and click on "CMBC has water" or Lake info.

Congrats Brian. Looks like a super deal. I know how much work it can be to work that out. We'd love to find a permanent better place in Columbus.

I assume you can have races there? Looking forward to coming down to check it out in person.

Drove up to their new race pond today they were fixing things up. It looks as to be a real class pond. They will have a very beautiful when finished. Shade, water , and space can't ask for much more.
