After about 10 months of searching and working to get a club lake, we finally have one. It is perfect. We are leasing it from Hamilton County for $1.00 a year. RC Boating lake only. No nothing, but RC boats.
I was at the lake the other day and it was windy....15-20mph winds. I went by the lake, and the water was glass. There is great protection from the wind in 3 directions. We are working on the lake this Saturday (24th). We are using a 'dozer to flatten an area out for the pits. We are also going to eventually install a drivers stand. The lake is 475' wide, and 1,050' long. Perfect size.
When we lost our lake we felt like somone took our hearts out...now we have a lake we are really proud of.
To see the lake, go to
Cincinnati Model Boat Club and click on "CMBC has water" or Lake info.
