Looks like you have been a busy builder over the winter break. Looking good, should be some fun out there on the pond. I'm in paint right now with the JAE101, SHOULD be ready for this weekend also. Let the boat'n begin!

Paul

The red boat has a Nova Rossi and the yellow has a CMB. I wanted to put in a AA21 in mine but had these CMB's and yes I don't like twenty size boats, I guess it is the new challenge for me.

We have already built and tested 45 size JAE's last week. Doc's is solid red with black trim and my is solid yellow with black trim. His has a new Pico and mine a AA. We are running pitch up 1657's and they are bad fast.

I built the boats and hardware except the strut and rudder and Doc done the preping and painting. And we both put them together.

did you modify the design any? how much do they weigh? they look great!

Cut/angle the top of the tub down from the front of the radio box to the transom and my building practice type of contruction. The transom is 1.25" high. Been doing this for years on my other boats. It cuts down on the boxey look at the rear of the boat. They will weight somewhere around 4 to 4.5 lbs. The 45 boats only weighed 4.75 lbs.

Hi Mark

The boats look good.

Did you remove the lip off the rear of the tub?

How are the registrations coming for the race?

I'm hoping that the gas prices don't get too high before then

See you in April.

Olly

Yes Olly. Just tappered the top of the tub from the front of the radio box to 1.25" at the transom. The bottom is the same. Entries are coming in we have about 40 as of now. And yes I hear you on the gas.

I could use a couple of those cowls :) :)

I wondered when you all would pick up on that. I had a PM from Martin Truex this morning on the same thing. They will be $25.00 for a 21 and 45 cowl or $15.00 each. I can pull a 21 and a 45 cowl on the same piece of material.

Mark,

I was thinking the same thing myself. How long is the 45 cowl?

John

The boats have many custom made parts. They have delrin motor mounts, delrin adjuster blocks to adjust angle of attach of the front sponsons, A special DOC's oiler, delrin cowel hold downs, carbon fiber radiod box lids, thin turn fins made out of vary hard aluminum and several unmemtionables. I believe when I painted these boats I was painting twelve sponsons at the same time, for 6 boats. We have tested the 40 and seems to have possibilities. The main issue is turn fins. Mark and I worked on fins for the 20, 40 and 101 this week end. Doc
