Needing major drive help!

Well today I won my fiberglass hull on ebay, yippee! Im making a semi custom rig using seperate peices I will be ordering. I will be running a 30 inch hull with a 2.6hp .26 car engine by hot bodies, with an SG shaft. Ive heard that running an SG requires modding? Like cutting off a part of the shaft? Is that neccesary? So now I need to get the engines power too the water, trying as hard as I can to save as much money as I can (under 40$). I looked at http://www.pirespreto.com/octura_catalog1....SMALLER%20BOATS for a system, and think I may have found something, will any of these STRUT PACKAGES FOR SMALLER BOATS work? I do already have a prather prop that Id like to keep so i need a prop shaft to fit it. do i want the prop out the back or below? So for those 31 some dollar kit does that come with everything i need to drive the prop?

Thanks for the link, Well, I dont really need a rudder and those hardware kits are a bit too exspensive for me, i cant afors anything over like 40-50$ <_< do they make adapters so you can run a SG shaft without having to chop half the shaft off?
