Well the old X-Mono hull needs to be replaced and I need some input with colors.

If Im buying new, It may as well be the way I want it.

(for those that may not know me- its going to be a Seaducer ;) )

I have 3 decent schemes in mind , but it would be really nice if there was a program I could download to be able to rough outline the top of the boat and play with colors.

They dont have to be exact, just some rough ideas for how they blend.

Along those lines anyone have any suggestions for sponsors logos that incorporate blue/white and silver ?

Im gonna run Offshore too, so I might as well incorporate that theme as well.

My ideas so far include staying with the same Monster Energy theme-

1) lime green bottom/black deck with lime green splatter - and the Monster Energy Graphics. Im thinking "Hit Man" this time :p

2) The wifes look-

White bottom/ purple metal flake deck/ yellow splatter with hints of lime green splatter.

3) white or silver bottom/ blue metal flake deck with white or silver splatter (or both)

Then doing diamond plate graphics on the outsides of the upper deck and v- down the center of the upper deck- ( hence needing the sponsor ideas for those colors)

Im thinking Kobalt Tools

Suggestions welcome ;)

Thanks ,

Andy

Andy,

I hate black boats because as a CD and racer, they are very difficult in finding them on the water especially when they flip or go dead. A more visible paint scheme will protect your investment and my former engine, even when upside down. It becomes even harder in higher glare areas and larger lakes due to distance from the drivers/CD stands.

John

PS: I hate splatter looks. It detracts from the primary schemes and colors. Just MHO only.

Im pretty sure nobody mentioned copying Dwilfongs 40 boat Foley

Dont hold back now John- ;)

Still worried about that damn motor :D

Pulled it down last night- Gene did GOOD - trust me B)

The upper deck would be pretty close to my avatar pic now, btw.

Andy..............What broke???
Right rail delaminated from the inside of the hull-

Its fix able, but for what I paid for it- its new hull time.

John's motor deserves a new hull anyway, :D

esp after I got a look at Gene's repair work for the first time after tear down ;)

My experience White bottom boats Perform Better. Jerry says he cannot see the black gel Going in??? Difficult to lay up light.... White seems to set up lighter..... Red Flake White Splatter & Blue Flake with White splatter & Purple Flake with White Splatter are CRISP looking when they are complete....Dont pay any attention to John!! He dont know MONO`s. Does he even own One??    I`ve had ever color in the Seaducer Rainbow..... The Flake Tops look Great without the Splatter.... The better ones the splatter matched the color of the bottom..... Flake Bottoms are Heavy & Wet running......

That 3rd round was fun as heck btw :p

Joe I have to agree, the brands new ones I have owned from Jerry where white bottoms, and the where always my favorites.

Im may just go back to my old school favorite, White bottom/ blue metal flake deck with white splatter.

Maybe a hint of yellow splatter. ?

Just to dirty it up some ?????

I really wanna 2 color the splatter......

What a minute Joe!! I do have a Seaducer 20 mono in my home. It is red metal flake (no splatter) with white bottom. It runs very well and I took first place in Greensboro's race in May. Jerry actually built it for my youngest son and it is a carbon fiber layup and with the front third reinforced with kevlar and it is bulletproof. So to answer your question, YES!!

 OK

Joe,

I'll readily admit what I know about monos is about a thimble full compared to riggers. I know just enough to get that 20 Seaducer running good and nothing more, especially about the bigger ones. And I agree about the white bottoms as Jerry told me the same. Much easier to keep the boat bottom straight when you can see it well.

Would you ladies get back on subject here- geeze...... .

LMAO B)

All I wanted was some colors idea's

At least we all agree - white bottom

And I gave them to you sorry wussy!! See you have figured out, finally, a white bottom. Then no black so your boat will not get hit. Progress being made you whiner. I would hate to thump you some more. You cannot even launch a rigger right side up, right Rod?? I saw you even do it last year and it was priceless! I had a cat birds seat from the drivers stand. And you are calling us ladies?? Don't bite the hand that feeds you bub. LOL dude!

PETTY BLUE top, white bottom. what else did you expect from me, drew  ? seriously, that blue with white splatter, maybe stp red splatter combo will show up on the water much better than you can imagine. when i painted a hull in petty blue for the first time, i was worried about visibility, but it stands out almost like a neon color. not a popular color, so you're not trying to find your boat among 3 or 4 others the same color as yours, coming out of the spray in turns 1 &2 B) . decals & graphics look cool, but green is green, red is red in the heat of battle.......

If it is a good race boat then just fix it.... and run it until it is too fat and heavy to be competative any longer.. You are better off stocking up on bearings and plugs.

Who cares about color as long as you can see it.
