Hey Guys, I need some ideas for proper tub layout in a .21 nitro rigger tub. Any pics you can share of how you would like to see your tub laid out so I can create a cowling, and design proper radio box compartment locations. This would be a huge help! Thanks, Mike

Mike,

If you allow 7 inches from the boom tube to the rear bulkhead that is sufficient room for the engine.

Some pics of a VERY old Eagle copy, not a bad running little boat. Notice the offset drive line.

And..... just for grins, some pics of my Warpath (not the newer Pro). All kinda the same; fuel tank in front, radio box tight to the engine bay, some with a bait box, JAE not. But they ALL balance slightly to the rear of the center of the turn fin (-; Get one from Dick Tyndall, he marks the "sweet spot" for ya!

Also, THANX for the John Finch autographed Wild Thing I went home with after our race!!

For a .21 boat a HS225 size servo will be fine on steering (but I would allow room for a standard size-some folks prefer them), a couple micros for throttle & 3rd channel. A pair of rails for a side by side mount in front for the micros & I prefer the wood block & strap style for steering, with Woods seals all around. Allow room up front for 8-10 oz. of fuel.

OK, so it looks like fuel tanks go up front, and radio gear directly behind the engine. Steering servo maybe all the way in the back. Thanks for the pics Robin. That will give me something to start with.
