Need a used 20 rigger

Help, Help Me please, My 13 year old Son is only interested in Riggers, I tried To start Him with Mono's, BUT Not him. It's riggers or nothing. David Showers of Micro burst Boats Gave Me one of His older .21 riggers. Installed a Nova Rossi in it, and off to the pond we went. Everything was going well. till a radio issue, sevro locked up and stuck wide open. We tried to just run it out of fuel. Good thing it stopped, bad thing We're not sure what it hit, log, or turtle, something hard, very hard. Destroyed right sponson, losing turn fin. David said it was an old proto type and no parts to be had. So I'm in the market for a used 20 rigger with some life in it, so My Son can inprove his driving skills. Don't care make or age just something to learn on. Yes I'll buy a new one once He's though beating them up and can drive safely. I'd hope You other Father's can relate. Thanks.

Dave: get him a NEW JAE rigger from zipp kits and build it together, then he will learn how to build as well as learn how to drive. the kits are aroung $90 and they are very easy to build and even easier to drive.

Yes, and when you can build your own, you can also repair it easily.

I second that, i just got my 13 year old son a JAE .21 rigger kit and i think it will be a blast to build together, he has been racing A tunnel for 3 years now and has won many races so hopefully the learning curve will go ok. We are also from fl and it looks like the .21 rigger class will have quite a few more boats this next year. Good luck and have fun. Rich

I have a used .21 sgx with a lot of life left in her. Runs very good but does have some nicks and dings. My 14 year old learn to drive riggers with this boat when he was 11. It took 2nd at the 2009 NAMBA Nats earlier this year with him driving it. I can let it go for 250.00 plus shipping. You will need shaft, prop, motor, pipe and receiver. Again it has battle scars. It is 4 years old. Boat runs great. Let me know if you need pictures.
