You are so correct. They show no respect at all. They're lucky to live in the USA that allows freedom of speech. Still no excuse to show such disrespect.

Never had much use for devo, no use for them now !! Even if the cake WAS someone else's idea & a surprise, he shouldn't have allowed it in the room. As far as someone who thought it was a cute thing to do, I'd just as soon rip off their head & take a dump down the hole. BUT, I put up a status update here, & posts on two more sites about remembering & respecting the losses of 9/11, got 1 response - TOTAL........what's that tell ya??

It tells me the same thing I learned when traveling commercially for the Navy. Until just recently, being in the military was looked upon as "So What". Pearl Harbor is remembered because of the USS Arizona being turned into a shrine and tourist attraction. It was also the fact that the air attack started just 10 minutes before the Japanese declaration of war was delivered to the US government so the attack was always looked upon as being a "sneak attack". It has been drilled into us in history classes ever since, even though the reasons as to the why behind it have been glossed over or just ignored. In the case of the WTC, it was something planned and carried out by a group of radicals, not a country or even in the name of their religion. With ISS now hogging up the international news, the 9/11 attack has become more of an afterthought
