neddle seting for os carb

what is the factory setting for a os j20 carb for low and high speed.... at wot it sputers and wont gain rpmbut idles just fine

on the bench or in the water? Not real familiar with that particular carb,.. but it sounds like you have a carb with a low speed needle,.. and the high speed set a bit rich. The condition you has is where I like to start out.. my engines typically will not spool up much on the shore,.. but when you put some load on them they burn the fuel and run well.

it was on the bench when i was testing it and it does have a a low speed on it...might have to wait untail it thaws up here and running in water....i was thinking load might make a difference on it....i believe it is the same carb that comes on the os outboard

Carburetor Settings:
Needle Valve; 2.5 turns from fully closed
Mixture Control Valve: Shoulder portion exactly at a tangent to
the throttle rotor hole

On the Boris meter set it at 120.Thats a starting point.
