Just waiting for a turn fin, then will test it at our clubs first test day of the season next weekend. These really are a nice build, i cant wait to get it wet.

I have put a few pictures of it here.

This is one of the kits that I won from Joe/ZIPP Kits (thanks Joe) and all of the hardware is from Jim Mamaril. Now that this one is done I have started on the 45 kit.

Thanks guys, it has been a fun build and after driving Jim's boat I know it is going to be a blast to race.

As a side note, if anyone is interested, I am building the stands like this boat is on. I have them sized for the 21, 21FE, 45 and 12 so far. All cut on my CNC router from birch plywood unless another material is requested. I can also do custom designs.

Looks sweet Kelly! I'm looking forward to seeing it run on the 10th. I bet we might even get in a few practice heats. I might have to hit you up for some custom stands, too. I'm almost there with my .21. Just have some radio adjustments to do. I don't think I will be tearin' it up quite like the JAEs though I hope at least, to be competitive.

See you there.

How much for the stand?

How did you run the water line from the rear to the engine compartment?

What is on the end of the carbon fiber tubes?

Thanks, I am just getting ready to finish mine off so I am curious about the choices you made.

I put a brass tube through the radio box for the water line.

Do you mean the peices going through the sponsons for the boom tubes? They are aluminum peices that Jim Mamaril made for me to replace the brass tubes that most people use.

If you want to see close up photos of any of it let me know and I will take some.

PM sent about stand.

Kelly,

Where did you end up mounting your third channel needle, can't tell by the pics. I guess you guys are going to make me bring mine out Sat. too. I might have the Whip done and be able to test it as well.

Jim

Jim,

Do you have enough propellers for testing your Whip?

So if I have built my sponsons already it's too late for something like that, right?

Have you put anything in them to hold the boom tubes? If so, it could be difficult, but not impossible.

Jim,

I added a picture to that album showing the needle placement. Its under the header.

Yeah, bring yours out so we can all remember how fast we need to be to keep up. And bring spare boom tubes. :p

Hurry up and get the Whip done.

Kelly.

The sponsons are done and have been coated with West System Expoxy. I just haven't done the final mounting to the boom tubes and tub yet.

Have you installed the brass tubes in the sponsons? The peices that I have are ones that Jim Mamaril made that take the place of the brass.

Robert,

Since you have completed the sponsons, if you would like, you can go to the hardware store and get nylon hole plugs for the outside of the sponsons where the booms end.

Finaly got out and ran the boat. I love the way these boats turn. This is going to be alot of fun.
