My DPS Sport 40 rebuild.

Here's a rebuild thread of my old DPS Hull. This boat is pretty old and my first sport 40 so it means a lot to me. So I decided to rebuild it like my new one.



I stripped about 4 different layers of paint off.



I cut the top decks off and completely stripped the inside out.

Took about 2 to 4 pounds off with the old paint and the rails inside.

Some guys on Intlwaters where nice enough to let me have some carbon fiber. I reinforced the bottom since I took the rails out. Brought the stiffness back.

Doug gave me a brand new top deck and cowling for it. Here's what it should look like finished. I might let my future wife run in a couple times next year. Depend on how she does this year.
