Who else would have done a B-36 - 6 engine reverse back in the day
Im pretty sure it ended up hanging in Phil's Hobby Shop over in St.Pete, Dick, I will ask my brother. And yeah, that was the one. The old man and Bill "Doc" McCalley (sp) where best buds - Docs still flying and building at 81 - sadly my dad passed years back. Now THAT is too cool! I remember seeing pictures of that years ago in some of the model airplane magazines. I'm sure that has to be the one. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.

funny, my dad was primarily an RC model airplane guy as well (early 1960's, and into 1970's and 1980's), that was my influence into this passion (really I love building). But I can remember him also flying a (Merco .61 powered) Sr. Falcon using an Orbit radio system (late 1960's/early 1970's). He was a decent RC pilot, but nothing like your dad above. But somehow, for some reason, I was always drawn to model boats (which really perplexed my dad at first).I flew ONCE when I was about 8 - never forget it. Eckerd Collage in StPete, did one time around with a Sr.Falcon and handed the sticks back- lol . Couldnt stand the thought of wadding Dads plane up. The old man woulda rolled over in his grave if he knew 15 years ago , I wanted to run RC BoatsNow THAT is too cool! I remember seeing pictures of that years ago in some of the model airplane magazines. I'm sure that has to be the one. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.

LMAO - THEY have it Windex,AWESOME pics Andy!! Your family has MAD modeling skills!! That B-36 would rival todays models, and your Pop did not have the luxury of the technology available today for gather data and making parts for something so complex, which in my mind makes him a TRUE craftsman!!
