I have worked with Steve Cooper @ Cooper pipes on a few proto types for mufflers that will make us compliant on db reading. This is an ad on for the CMB big belly pipe. You will need to make a shim to match OD to ID. This muffler has taken my system fron 94-95 db down to 89 to 83 db (depending on wind direction) with no loss in performance. Price is $31.50 plus shipping. This is available through me or COOPER PIPES.

Stu can you post a picture of the muffler mounted on a pipe. I am interested in how it mounts to the pipe and how its held on. I would like to do something other than a hose gear style clamp.. Tony J

Tony,

I don't have the means of posting a picture yet. The muffler is constructed with 1/2" ID tubing with the inlet coming in the top and outlet exiting the bottom. Inlet is slit every 90 degrees and uses a worm gear hose clamp. Total length is approx. 3 1/4" and is made very streamlined. BTW, I had 12 of these and they are gone now. Further orders can be made through Cooper Pipes @ 417-358-4114.

I have seen the prototypes and one that may be the final product that Stu had run at our race (Mendota) about a month back. They are very inovative mufflers, like nothing Ive seen before. I was actually working the db meter when Stu raced his 80 Rigger and he was not even close to 90db, let alone the 92 limit. The CMB Fat belly pipe and the muffler worked very well together. I forsee many more people going back to their regular pipes and getting these mufflers, they are a step in the right direction. It was a pleasure talking with you Stu.
