I'd like to see some ideas for making a muffler for the Mac .12 to .15 sized tuned pipe. Pictures would help!

Thanks

Don

the .12's are not very loud to start with. Here's a pic of a 21 muffler from Precision Boat's site. Maybe shim it down? Mike T may be able to help you make one.

You could have bought the muffled version of the pipe or do one of J.D.'s film cannister type of mufflers with something smaller. Maybe one of those metal cigar tubes. That would give it an Irwin/Cooper pipe look! The stock Mac pipe isn't very loud but I haven't dB'ed mine yet.

Right now the loudest 12 size pipe that I have is the macs. Sometimes I wont run it in fear of loosing my prized testing pond. You know which one it is - It's the one with the floating bear-bottles ;)

I put a 45-deg rubber elbow on my macs and pointed it straigth down. It helped but still didn't bring it down enough.

Have you tried running a water line to the stinger?

I think that a muffler could be made with large diameter K&B tubing and some JB-weld.
