Hello,
Not knowing much about this hull nor was I able to find any info on it.

I have two OPS engines, one .67 and a Super .80. After doing some reading it appears both of these engines are going to be to small for this hull.

I've seen a OPS 120 marine for sale. Would this engine be to big for this hull. Is there such thing :) . What if I start racing this hull? Is there a class for this hull and engine combination?

This is some of the hardware that I got with the hull.

Hello Ralph,

Assuming the hull is 46" then it likely is an appropriate size for a 67 or 80 size motor. In F or X mono today most people are running 91 or 101 motors in 44" hulls. The OPS 120 (20cc) is too large to compete in either IMPBA or NAMBA. You are better off buying a CMB or Nova if you wanted something newer, however if you are newer to the model boating side you might want to just build what you have and have fun.

The hardware set you have is acceptable for a play boat, but not likely adequate for racing. You can find better designs from Speedmaster or TFL.

I was able to find Speedmaster, but do not know what/who is TFL.

I thought Novarossi went out of business. Who bought them?

Is CMB available in the US? Where do most people purchase this engine from?

Thank you,
