Motor mount questions

What size Allen screws are for aero marine motor mounts and and need to drill and tap new holes what size bit/ tap do I use. It had a picco motor on it and I have a CMB.

What size motor are you installing? That will make a major difference in what size drill and tap you need to use

It's a cmb 40 not sure if its an HR it's a red head with an angle carb.

That would probably take a 6-32 screw so you will need a #36 drill bit and the matching tap. I would recommend that you try to drop that size screw into the flange hole before you start drilling just in case I'm wrong and it's a 4 or 5 size screw instead

You can buy a bit and tap combo at the hobby shop.

Thanks for the info HJ, that will save me from guessing, ill check the size before I drill. Been trying to get this sport 40 ready for the wine race.
