well today i was puttsin around the work area.... setting up tooling to do a job for somone... i found a little extra time and was thinkin of exhaust outlets for the miss vegas... i just was never fond of that black silicone tube hangin out the back... this is what i came up with and thought that they would look dang nice all snug in the transom...im thinkin they could be glued in or just siliconed in for a water tight seal... came out perdy trick B) ,,, basicaly this thing will work on any boat that the exhaust exits the transom and is linked with silicone tubing.. now i had the vegas in mind so the length is long enough to clear the rear portion of the deck for easy access...this length can be cut back as far as you would like...

let me know what you guy's think,,, suppose i could run some off if the interest is there... :)

a certian bizzness was advertizing them on jims some time ago.. boy mike saw that a blew a piston big time.. he posted on there thread to let them know....

i couldnt really understand why??? ... if it was patented by him,,,well then for sure i would be steamed also as he would have the rights to that design... like i said,,, i couldnt find them around so i made one... simple,,simple,,simple..... mike and i get along perdy well... and if i had known he was makin them,,,, well then that would have saved me the hassel of makin one. ;) ... its as simple as an extremely large water outlet,,, nothing more,, nothing less...

looks dang nice all mounted in the hull too... had to hog out the hole in the transom a touch to make it round so it would fit... other than that,,, i like it.... :) ..

It does look really nice man, its some good work, been trying to Mike to make me one, now I guess I have another option! haha

ill hook you up opio,,,just give me a little time my friend...that is if mike isnt makin one for you.... dont want to steal his thunder,,,you know what i mean.... if you had arrangements with him,,,please check with him first..... otherwise you know where im at buddy...... ill take a pic here perdy quick of it installed in the transom....

Alden, trying to think of a way to mount it to the hull without having to thread it and find a nut large enough for it, and wondering if you could make it so that a short part of the metal (like a piece of tube) was sticking out of the back of the hull (so the main part is on the inside) and put a couple screws with washers in it from the outside to hold it in place. Hard to explain it in words...made a pic and attached it.

sean,,, u explained it just fine my friend,,, i completely understood.... i was thinkin along the same lines but boy that makes alot of work... i glued mine in last night..i wanna see what happens with that method.. i didnt scuff the gel coat so it can proly break away clean,,,well ,,,thats what im thinkin anyway...lol... i think silicone will be the way to though.. the shoulder fits pretty snug in the hole,,so some extra grab there also...

Here is a picture of what I did with mine. I found a rubber grommet that fit snugly over the tubing I used for an extension. I opened the hole in the transom to a size slightly smaller than that needed for the grommet to fit in. You want it snug in the hole so when you insert the tubing in the grommet it snugs up the the grommet even more making it seal. The tubing will be tight enough you won't need to glue it and can be removed at any time. The scrap tubing I used happened to have a small flange crimped on the end but it's not really neccesary. Mine extends in about 2 inches. Mike
