A Dumas wood hull . Any experience with the bottom riding strip ( pad ). I just as soon leave it off the hull. 1/8 X 1 1/4 " X 15 " with a little C at the end . Does it effect the riding characteristics ? I wood say no. All most done.

The ride strip does not make any difference.............unless you want to go faster.

Less surface Less drag ,seams right. I have a Dumas Atlas Van Line 43'. the pads lasted 1/4 tank. I have taken a small section out of the insides sponsons 3/4 in 3/4 "up works very well. the air can escape without a blow over. I will have some new pics that needs to be installed in my galley. still learning this site is not that user friendly. The upload link is a little corkey. Had to learn what Avatar is. Some stuff still don't know what it is. Thats why we have HELP
