I recieved an e-mail last night that would like some help from some of you:

Hi, I saw your K-zoo fun run listed at RCU. I'm wondering if you or your

buddies might be running electrics?

Reason: I'm the organizing chair for the 2005 Seaways Great Lakes Scale Model

Boat Show & Regatta- yep, mostly scale stuff, tugs and military, etc. But

we'd like to invite some fast electrics to run a demo a couple times during

the Regatta, July 16-17 in Canton Mi., and generally hang out. Any interest?

Or know anyone who might be interested? We could probably have an effective

showing with 3 or 4 racers simulating heats, and there's always the chance

of attracting more members!

Seeing how I don't run electrics, I thought that I'd pass this one on to some of you. This would be a great chance for both sides to show their stuff. This event used to be held about 2 miles down the street from me until they started rotating it to other cities.

Or talk to me here!

Again, we slow-boaters will be hogging the frequencies most of the day, but we'll set aside time for a few demo runs on one or both days as suits whoever shows up.

Thanks, Pat Matthews

ps: I've got one of the faster scale models in our group, probably seems like standing still to y'all- a four foot PT boat:

Best just to e-mail me direct, either from my profile or from the above listed website.

BTW, with a synthesized radio- once it finds a frequency, will it hop to another when someone with a fixed band radio jumps in on that same frequency?

Synthesized surface radios operate on preselected 75 mhz channels.... just like changing crystals, only no x-tals are used, just a switch or programed selection. No frequency hopping or other tricks, no crystal changes. It is simply easier to select the channel that you want to use.

Geeze guys, I'm sorry I didn't see this one quicker. I'm slackin.

We'll have to see who is going where July 16,17. There is a race that same weekend in Wisconsin that I know some are trying to get to. If MMEU splits up the crew which is possible we'll work something out.

We should all have recovered from the NATS by then.

We've been getting together at Camp Dearborn in Milford lately but we're terribley inconsistent. We're all a little strung out getting ready for the NATS in TWO WEEKS!!! aaaaahhh!

Are you in the Metro Det. area? Come out and see the show from June 1 to June 5 at Camp Dearborn. It's the biggest race in FE history. Just crunched the numbers last night. 461 entries.

There is a remote chance I'll be out there again this coming Sunday.

Surgery. Bummer. hope all goes well.

Well maybe you can come out to our local test puddle some time. we're pretty spread out but most of the club is made up of eastsiders. 2 of us in Chesterfield. We play/test in a tiny pond at 26 and Gratiot. We'll be out there one evening this week. Drop me an email if your interested in playing too.

wow 26 and gratiot ill be able to get out there no problem umm i wont be able to make it this week but maybe some other week

ill definatly keep in touch i am always looking for people to run with.

26 and gratiot
Isn't there a very nice park near there called Stony Creek Metropark? I used to rollerblade there 2-3 times a week years ago. Beautiful park if it is the one you are talking about - although it isn't small.

Stony is sweet but huge for FE. Weeds up pretty bad too about mid summer. At least in the bays where you wold want to run it tends to. There are some nitro guys running off of 23 somewhere I believe. I'm going to get out with them some time. plus a run away boat could get a swimmer. No thanks.

Ever do the offroad bike loop at Stony? We hit 41 mph on that long fire trail descent through the woods. Crazy. Ah to be young again.
