hey all,

i recently bought an older vee hull off ebay, that had never been drilled or had anything ever done to it. i was wondering what if this boat is good for heat racing or just playing around with.it will be fitted with a k&b .21 and speed master hardware, and a prather sturt. i have all the items just haven't had the time to put it together any thoughts would be helpfull.iam mostly an outboard guy .i run two different 3.5 tunnel one stock and one highly modified.

thanks,

The K&B .21 might be a holdback for racing with everyone going to much hotter motors nowadays but you know how the old saying goes, in order to finish first, you have to first finish. You can always swap in another motor down the road.

I run a mono that is a copy of a European hull that won a lot of heat racing in the 70's and it is every bit as fast/competitive as the new breed of mono's.

Generally speaking the newer breed of boats don't blow over as easy but that one of your looks fine.
